Big Bang Hints at Extended 20th-Anniversary Activities After Goyang Concert
Korean pop group Big Bang opened their 20th-anniversary world tour in Goyang on the evening of the 23rd, suggesting that more celebratory activities may follow beyond their newly released single “BiiiG.” The three original members—G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung—reunited at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex for the kickoff performance of “BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR
Taeyang reflected on their recent joint appearances, noting, “We really enjoyed filming those programs together—if we had so much fun, imagine how much our fans will enjoy it.” He characterized their 20th-anniversary efforts as “the culmination of our 20 years of history.”
Daesung, however, admitted to feeling that the celebrations wrapped up too quickly. “Our anniversary activities ended in just one week,” he said. “Isn’t it a bit disappointing to finish like this?” Taeyang responded with a playful pun: “Finishing with only one song called ‘BIG’ would make it ‘Xsmall,’ not ‘BIG.’” The quip drew enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Following the Goyang opener, Big Bang will continue the tour across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia, totaling 33 shows.
