Dayoung of WJSN Celebrates One Year of Solo Success with Chart Hits and Major Awards

WJSN’s Dayoung marks one-year anniversary of her solo debut

WJSN member Dayoung has celebrated the one-year milestone of her solo career. She launched her solo activities on September 9 last year with the digital single “gonna love me, right?”, and quickly claimed her first music show trophy with the title track “body.” The song also earned recognition on Billboard’s and NME’s lists of top K-pop songs for 2025.

In April, Dayoung released her second digital single, “What’s a girl to do,” taking part in the album’s concept, production and writing and composing every track. Most recently, she unveiled her first collaborative single, “FLIRTY,” featuring Jay Park. Over the past year she has performed at festivals both domestically and abroad, and at the 35th Seoul Music Awards took home two honors—including Best Solo Artist.

Through her agency, Dayoung expressed gratitude for the busy yet rewarding year, saying, “Every moment has been so precious and I’m truly thankful.” She added that the success was all thanks to fans who have supported her and her music. “I will continue to work hard, take on a variety of stages, and give back with great music and performances,” she said.
