Singer Hwasa’s set at Brazil’s Rock in Rio 2026 festival earned high praise from local media, with leading outlet G1 ranking her performance second-best of the event—trailing only pop legend Elton John. According to G1, Hwasa made history as the first K-pop female solo artist to appear on Rock in Rio’s main stage, “Palco Mundo,” showcasing her eponymous tracks along with powerful vocals, dynamic choreography and commanding stage presence.
On the evening of the 11th, Hwasa took the stage at Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Park before an audience of some 80,000. Over the course of an hour she delivered 13 live numbers, blending K-pop flair with festival rock energy. After the show, she said she had long awaited this moment, mindful of the festival’s storied legacy and eager to share her passion with Brazilian and global fans. She added that the enthusiastic reception left her deeply moved and determined to reach even more audiences worldwide.
Rock in Rio 2026’s main lineup also featured Maroon 5, Jamiroquai and Foo Fighters, among other international acts. Hwasa’s standout debut has not only confirmed her competitive edge on the global stage but also set the stage for expanded overseas activities in the months ahead.
