Ji Ye-eun and Ji Seok-jin, better known as project duo Chungju Jissi, will return with their second single, “AQUA,” on July 17 at 6 p.m. KST. This marks their first release in a year since last summer’s debut track, “Milkshake.”
“AQUA” is a fresh, trendy pop number built around a bright guitar riff and an easy-to-follow melody. Its lyrics evoke moments of respite from hectic daily life—recapturing innocent feelings and the thrill of fleeting experiences. Ji Ye-eun leads with her signature clear, soothing tone, while Ji Seok-jin complements her with his smooth vocals, continuing the harmonious chemistry they first displayed on “Milkshake.”
The comeback also draws attention as Ji Ye-eun’s first musical activity following her public acknowledgement in April of a relationship with fellow 1994-born dancer Bather. The two reportedly met while performing together under the Chungju Jissi banner at Waterbomb Seoul 2025. Bather also participated in choreographing the “Milkshake” dance.
“AQUA” will be available on all major online music platforms starting July 17 at 6 p.m. KST.
