Jung Kyung Ho and Choi Sooyoung Split After 14 Years

Actor Jung Kyung Ho and singer-actress Choi Sooyoung have reportedly ended their long-term relationship after 14 years together. The couple, long regarded as one of the Korean entertainment industry’s most enduring pairs, confirmed their breakup through their respective agencies while asking for privacy regarding the details.

Jung Kyung Ho and Choi Sooyoung End 14-Year Romance

Jung Kyung Ho and Choi Sooyoung, a former member of Girls’ Generation who has also built a steady acting career, have parted ways after 14 years of dating. According to statements released on the 9th by Jung’s agency, Management Allum, and Choi’s agency, Saram Entertainment, the two recently decided to end their romantic relationship.

The pair first developed into a couple in 2012 and publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2014 after dating rumors surfaced. Since then, they had continued an open relationship, occasionally mentioning each other in broadcasts and interviews, which made them one of the most recognized long-term couples in Korean entertainment.

Over the years, Jung and Choi were often praised for maintaining a stable relationship despite their busy schedules and public careers. Their breakup has drawn attention not only because of the length of their relationship, but also because they were widely seen as a rare example of a celebrity couple who balanced love and work for more than a decade.

Agencies Confirm Split, Say They Remain Colleagues

Saram Entertainment confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that the two have broken up,” and added that they have decided to remain on good terms as colleagues. Jung Kyung Ho’s side also acknowledged the split, though the agency said it would be difficult to confirm the exact timing or reason for the breakup, as it concerns the actors’ private lives.

Within the entertainment industry, some have suggested that the couple naturally grew apart while continuing their individual acting projects and professional commitments. However, no specific reason has been officially disclosed, and both sides have kept their statements brief and respectful.

Jung Kyung Ho debuted in 2003 through KBS’s 20th open recruitment for actors and has appeared in dramas such as I’m Sorry, I Love You, Prison Playbook, Hospital Playlist, and Crash Course in Romance. He is currently filming ENA’s upcoming drama A Charming Romance. Choi Sooyoung debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation in 2007 and has since pursued both music and acting, with roles in My Spring Days, Run On, and Not Others. She is also set to appear in KBS 2TV’s new weekend drama I Went to School.

While Jung Kyung Ho and Choi Sooyoung’s 14-year relationship has come to an end, both stars are expected to continue focusing on their acting careers. Their agencies emphasized that they will remain good colleagues, leaving fans to support them as they move forward separately.
