Ttaenggyeoyo Surpasses 10 Million Users as Shinhan Bank’s Delivery App Champions Small Merchants and Consumers

Shinhan Bank’s delivery app Ttaenggyeoyo has surpassed 10 million registered users just over four years after its official launch in January 2022, marking its emergence as a leading public-sector delivery platform in South Korea.

Since debuting under the slogan “Our neighborhood delivery app where you and I both win,” Ttaenggyeoyo has focused on reducing burdens for small merchants and offering consumers attractive benefits. With commission fees held around 2%, the service has steadily expanded by partnering with local governments, integrating regional currency payments and location-based discounts to enhance user convenience.

Shinhan Bank attributes the milestone to its “win-win” model that balances consumer perks with support for small businesses and municipalities. In celebration of reaching 10 million members, the bank has launched a month-long customer event. Users who tap the “Recommend” button and submit a written review on the Ttaenggyeoyo app will receive a 1,000-won discount coupon, while those posting photo or video reviews will get a 2,000-won coupon. Additionally, 1,000 participants who recommend a merchant will be randomly selected to receive an extra 10,000-won coupon.

On the merchant side, the top 1,000 stores based on customer recommendations will earn a digital “Certified” badge within the app and 100,000 won in support funds. To further reduce entry barriers, Shinhan Bank will waive all commission fees for newly enrolled merchants through December 31.

Beyond promotional activities, Shinhan Bank is leveraging Ttaenggyeoyo’s transaction and sales data to strengthen its small-business financing. Last August, it rolled out the “Ttaenggyeoyo Excellent Merchant Loan,” which incorporates actual sales performance into credit evaluations and offers loans of up to 100 million won.

A bank spokesperson said the 10-million-member achievement reflects strong customer trust in Ttaenggyeoyo’s commitment to delivering real value for both consumers and small merchants and pledged to continue enhancing benefits and support across the platform.
